Our staff at Mid-State Mortuary Support comprises of a team of dedicated and experienced professionals who are committed to providing exceptional services to our clients. Our diverse staff members come from various backgrounds and bring with them a range of expertise and skills, allowing us to deliver a comprehensive and customized approach to our work. We pride ourselves on building a positive and supportive work environment, fostering teamwork and collaboration among our staff. Roger Meyer, Owner

Licensed Funeral Director / Licensed Embalmer

Roger is the founder and owner of Mid-State Mortuary Support.  He is a 1998 graduate of Mount Gilead High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center Criminal Justice Program.  He graduated from Franklin University in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science in Public Safety Management.  Roger continued his education at the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science graduating in 2015.  He served 25 years in local public safety field in EMS, Fire Service, and Law Enforcement.  He is the recipient of many awards during his career.  


Roger started Mid-State Mortuary Support in 2018 and has been honored to provide dignified and professional embalming and funeral directing services to the firms that he serves.  He is a member of both the Ohio Funeral Directors Association and Ohio Embalmers Association.

damian meyer,  transport manager

Certified BioHazard Clean-up Technician

Damian is a 2019 graduate of Mount Gilead High School and Tri-Rivers Career Center Automobile Mechanics.  After graduation, Damian enlisted into the United States Army Reserves and served as a mechanic for the Military Police Division.  Damian has been serving families in the mortuary transport business for over 5 years and now manages the transport division for Mid-State Mortuary Support.  He has also completed training in biohazard cleaning.

Summer Hawkins,  transport technician

Mortuary Student

Summer graduated in 2019 from....  She joined Mid-State Mortuary Support in 2020 as a Transportation Technician.  Summer is currently enrolled in pre-mortuary studies at Tera State Community College and will continue her education to obtain her mortuary science degree which will allow her to become licensed as both an embalmer and funeral director in Ohio.

Mikayla MEYER,  TRANSPORT TECHNICIAN

Administrative Assistant

Mikayla is a 2022 graduate of Mount Gilead High School.  During high school she participated in the marching band as well as being a member of both the softball and bowling teams.  Mikayla join the transportation team after graduating high school.
